Born 1976, Ignacy Karpowicz is one of the most interesting representatives of the younger generation in the contemporary Polish literature. First of all writer but also journalist, traveller and translator, he made his debut in 2006. Since then he has published five novels. Karpowicz is laureate of the prestigious literary Polityka Passport Prize (2010).
